DESCRIPTION/ABSTRACT: Ten years after then-Governor Gray Davis announced the creation of four California Institutes of Science and Innovation, including the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), the partnership of UC San Diego and UC Irvine will celebrate their enduring partnership with a day-long series of events on both campuses. The highlight: a joint morning session, via HD videoconference, including a keynote speech by Gray Davis. The morning and lunch events are by invitation only; however, the community and public at large are invited to participate in the afternoon Research Open House and evening music/multimedia performance program. 10:00am - 12:15pm Two-Campus Commemoration Ceremony (Calit2 Auditoriums connected via HD videoconference link) featuring a keynote speech by former Gov.
