DESCRIPTION/ABSTRACT:

4The First Annual Metagenomics Conference will bring together a diverse community of scientists interested in the emerging discipline of metagenomics. Speakers and participants will be those working at the intersection of biogeochemistry, genome sequencing, molecular biology, bioinformatics, environmental science and related fields.

Metagenomics 2006 is sponsored by the UCSD Division of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), J. Craig Venter Institute, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Details on the conference agenda, speakers, registration and other information are available at theconference website at: www.calit2.net/metagenomics2006 .
