UCI Announces Staff Promotion
11.01.05 – The UC Irvine division of Calit2 is pleased to announce the promotion of Shellie Nazarenus to assistant director, marketing and outreach. Nazarenus was previously the division’s manager of communications.

In her new position, Nazarenus will oversee all of the division’s communications, marketing and corporate relations activities, including publications, media relations, Web content and special events. She will also supervise outreach efforts to corporate and academic partners, government officials and community organizations.
Nazarenus joined Calit2 in March 2004, after serving as a public information officer in UCI’s Communications Office.
“I am delighted that Shellie has agreed to take on this new role,” said Albert Yee, director of the Irvine division. “She has a strong grasp of Calit2’s mission and good relationships with all of our partners and affiliates. I know she will be successful in advancing Calit2 throughout the community.”
