Professor, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
Bio: I have been working in the area of VLSI CAD since 1983. Specifically, my research interests are in high-level synthesis, estimation, and design methodology of large scale (mostly digital) systems.
I received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon in 1981, and the the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California , Los Angeles, CA, in 1982 and 1987, respectively. Since 1987, I have been with the ECE department at the University of California, Irvine . I also hold a courtesy appointment with the Information and Computer Science Department.
Some of my other activities in the research community include: Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, Program committees of the International High Level Synthesis Workshop, the European Design and Test Conference , and the International Symposium on System Synthesis .
I am a member of IEEE and ACM .
